Mural, Chief Minister’s office, Gandhinagar

This fabric mural was made by traditional Mata Ni Pachedi artisans from Gujarat for the Chief Minister's office. Traditionally, the mural is made for visibility at the eye level. For this space, we wanted the mural to be visible from a height of 30 feet from the floor. This challenge was adeptly handled through design and this mammoth mural took 4 months from design to execution. Made on cotton fabric using natural dyes, this mural is also an example of sustainability. The mural showcases the feminine power that Mata Ni Pachedi represents. 7 devis (Goddesses) perched on their own animal-driven vehicles symbolize protection and strength. The space was designed was HCPIA, an interior design firm helmed by a dynamic lady, Ar.Canna Patel. Her vision was instrumental in helping us achieve our goal.
